Of Chicks and Strange Weather

Our little chicks enjoying the outside.

In the afternoon of April 12, the sky started looking different. Then it started to hail really hard...by that time we were getting a little worried. Suddenly we saw this strange cloud...

Then it started to form...

"Okay guys...want to go play down in the basement?!"

The right corner of this picture is blurred because I was taking this picture from the window and the sill got in the way. Anyway we think it was just a strange cloud passing by. I think we took it to seriously because of the tornados that have been happening in the central states. We took it as a good drill though :)

Putting lime down in the garden. For all those who don't know what lime is, it is a natural fertilizer that bring the soil PH up which is good. We DO NOT use chemicals!!!
