An Awesome August!

Hello Everybody!
Here are some pictures from the month of August!

Josiah all dressed up playing a Bible story.
 A look at ther farm. The gardens are doing very well. We were concerned at first because there was not a lot of rain, but thankfully, we recieved enough to get by.

 Yummy blackberrys!

 Da duckies! They sure have grown!

 Liberty!

 Noah's remote controlled airplane. He is very good at flying it.

 Bread for the farmer's market :)

 What a handsome guy!

 Ducky Art. This is Aflac if you want to know :)

 Playing Racket. Kinda like volley ball...just a little different.

 In which we get a trampoline!!!!! Here, we are setting up the frame.

 Putting the pieces together.

 Cutie!

 Well, we finished it late last night after a few mishaps. The next morning the children were up bright and early and having lots of fun :)

 Making homemade raw milk ice cream!! It is soooo good!

 Mom and Dad went to go on a four day date to the beach. This was taken just before they left. They are so sweet!

 Some people seemed a little too excited for them ;)

 Off they go!

HI!!

Hello Everyone!
Sorry it has taken me so long to do another post. Our family has been really busy and we needed a "time out" so to speak so we tried cutting down alot of our computer time. Here are some random pictures that I found on my camera and I hope to have another post next week. Enjoy your summer and stay cool! :)

 At the Milford market. We now have our corn coming in and it is a big hit.

 Flower Art.

 Making homemade ice cream!! It is so much fun to make and is really yummy! ;)

 Mixing it up!

 Adding lots of vanilla!

Now into the mixer for 25 minutes and then it's ready! Great treat to have on a hot day.

 This was taken on July 4th. The weather report had said rain so we had planned to stay home for the day. It ended up to be beautiful weather so Dad decided to take the little ones fishing. They even caught a good sized large mouth bass!

 Preping for the July fourth dinner. I'm making a yummy roasted veggie medley.

 Okay. This egg may not seem big to you, but let me tell you: this egg is BIG!

 About four inches long and two inches wide!!

 An idea of just how enormous this egg was!

 At the Westminster market.

 There are alpacas there as well. All the children love to pet them. Really cute animals!

 Smile!

 A look at all the other vendors. A great selection of vendors...even a pizza guy who makes really good pizza!

Ha! Ha! I did say these were random pictures! This book has a lot of information on how to survive in the wilderness. We like to go hiking alot and have almost gotten ourselves lost sometimes so we saw this book and thought it might be a good idea to review it in case we ever did get lost in the woods. The book is rather tedious though!

Monday, July 2nd

Hello all!
Sorry for the long time it took me to update the blog. Thanks for stopping by!

 We needed to do some major weeding at the field. Caleb, Noah, Josiah, Micah, and I all worked together to get the job done. This is the before shot of the corn field. Unfortunately, the camera died before we were finish but it looked great after weeding.

 Plowing away.

 Back in the kitchen preparing for market. These are the strawberry bannana smothie muffins. They are one of the best-tasting muffins out there!

 The homemade, freshly ground bread is really good!

 I love this one! Garlic and onion spinach bread with feta cheese!!! Yum!

 Caught this photo in a Walmart parking lot. We were out getting some things and we happened to come out just before the sun went behind the trees.

 A look at the garden from an upstairs window. They have been doing a great job with the weeding.

Left to right: tomatoes, green beans, letuce, cucumbers, radishes, and more tomatoes.

 Left to right: the tomatoes, green beans, swiss chard, salad bed, squash (zuccini, summer, ect.), more beans, 2nd salad bed, and pak choi.

 Playing with the playmobil castle. :)

 My new sewing inspiration: the tea wallet. Sorry. This picture is on it's side...not sure how to fix that.

It holds up to six tea bags and can be folded down to fit inside your purse or pocket.

Have a great fourth of July everyone!

The Farmer's Market Begins!

Hello everybody!
Hope you enjoy some pictures of our farm, Sarah's birthday, and our very first farmer's market of the year!

 Strawberry picking in our field. Yummmm!

 The garden.

 Blackberry flower art.

 The chick check-up. We have moved the smaller chickens into the green house and hopefully will be adding rabbits as well.

 "What is THAT thing?!"  :)

 It's Sarah's birthday! And if you take the time to count aaaallllll those candles, it will be 21. :)

 She still has good lungs!

 The candle smoke was too much for Caleb. :)

 A mocha cheesecake!!!!!!! SOOOOOO good!

 A happy boy!

 How else to celebrate a birthday than to go target shooting?

 Everybody had a great time including the neighbor boy who came over as well.

 The range marshal for the day making sure the safety rules are applied to the max.

 The targets. The closer cans are for the beginners to shoot.

 Safety first! Make sure to wear safety glasses!

 Present time!

 Safety glasses for Sissy when she goes shooting! :)

 A Texas sheriff star from Josiah.

I found the "Sisters by Heart" figures from Willow Tree.

 Random art....you know....when you get bored and you don't know what to do and all you have is a camera in your hand.
~~~~~~~~~~
And now.....drum roll please.....
The farmer's market!!!! Yay! We did it! This is the Milford Hospital and everybody seems happy to see us there.
 A pause for a picture.
 The baked goods section. This is later on just before we closed and there were no more items to re-stock.
 The soap table. It smelled very good!
 Another view.
 Mixes, jams, and produce.
Mom had this really cute set-up for our tracter soap. :)
Thank you for looking!
